Alright, so I asked a girl out and got rejected.

… cue sad boi hours

Just kidding. It didn’t feel great, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought.

To be honest. I’m more surprised that I actually asked her out than the rejection itself.

Even though I got shot down. It was a milestone for me since I’ve never explicitly told someone I was interested in them.

It felt like a great weight was lifted off my chest. I didn’t have to hide it anymore.

It was a burden that bothered me all the time and since I let it out.

I feel great.

I guess the idea of missing 100% of the shots you don’t take is true.

Even if you do get rejected. Nothing’s changed except they know what you think of them.

It’s only awkward if you make it awkward.

I used to be in the mindset that when you’re shot down it’s over.

You can’t talk to them anymore, you have to ignore them and move on.

But that’s not the case at all, if anything they’ll notice and respect you more.

I guess I’m kinda late to the party when it comes to dating.

No problem, I’ll move forward one rejection at a time lol.
